'Vaisampayana said: Arjuna, having acquired the finest bow, a pair of inexhaustible quivers, a chariot, a flagstaff, and an assembly hall, addressed Yudhishthira.' ।। 2-23-1 ।।
'Yudhishthira said: "O King, I have obtained the bow, weapons, great energy, allies, territory, fame, and an army—all of which are difficult to acquire yet highly desirable."' ।। 2-23-2 ।।
विजयाय परयास्यामि दिशं धनद रक्षिताम तिथाव अथ मुहूर्ते च नक्षत्रे च तथा शिवे ।। २-२३-४ ।।
'I wish to set out at an auspicious moment, on a holy day of the moon under a favorable constellation, for the conquest of the northern direction, which is presided over by the Lord of Treasures.' ।। 2-23-4 ।।
