हतं मेने जरासंधं दृष्ट्वा भीम पुरॊगमौ एककार्यसमुद्युक्तौ कृष्णौ युद्धे ऽपराजितौ ॥ २-१८-२४ ॥
'Seeing Krishna and Arjuna, undefeated in battle, with Bhima leading the charge, the people believed that Jarasandha was already defeated, as they were all prepared to achieve the same task.' ॥ 2-18-24 ॥
