नायकस्य नायिकायाश्च यथामनीषितमर्थमुपलभ्य स्वबुद्धया कार्यसम्पादिनी निसृष्टार्था ॥ ४६ ॥
The independent [nisrishtartha] is so-called because she carries out the task she has been charged with by the hero or heroine in her own way.

निसृष्टार्थं दूती जो दूती नायक और नायिका के अभिलषित प्रयोजन को समझकर अपनी बुद्धि से कार्य सम्पादित करती है, वह निसृष्टार्था दूती कहलाती है ॥ ४६ ॥
