अग्ने नय सुपथा राये अस्मान् विश्वानि देव वयुनानि विद्वान्। युयोध्यस्मज्जुहुराणमेनो भूयिष्ठां ते नमउक्तिं विधेम ॥१८॥
O god Agni, knowing all things that are manifested, lead us by the good path to the felicity; remove from us the devious attraction of sin. To thee completest speech of submission we would dispose.

सब व्यक्त वस्तुओं के जानने वाले हे अग्निदेव! हमे सुपथ से, उत्तम मार्ग से आनन्द की ओर ले चल; पाप का कुटिलतापूर्ण आकर्षण हमसे हटा दे, दूर कर दे। तेरे प्रति अन्तर्नमन (समर्पण) की सर्वाङ्गपूर्ण वाणी (स्तोत्र) हम निवेदित करें।
