अर्थनाशं मनस्तापं गृहे दुरितानि च । वञ्चनं चापमानं च मतिमान्न प्रकाशयेत् ॥१॥

sanskrit

An intelligent person should not tell these things to anyone, his wealth has been destroyed. He is angry, his wife has misbehaved, people have abused him and he has been insulted.

english translation

एक बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति को यह बातें किसी को नहीं बतानी चाहियें उसके धन का नाश हो गया है. उसे क्रोध आ गया है, उसकी पत्नी ने गलत व्यवहार किया है लोगो ने उसे अपशब्द कहे तथा उसका अपमान हुआ है।
