त्रिरात्रं परमं तस्य जन्तोर्भवति जीवितम्। कुशलेन त्वनुक्रान्तः क्षिप्रं सम्पद्यते सुखी ॥३६॥
But if treated by an expert physician quickly, one can recover almost immediately.
english translation
trirAtraM paramaM tasya jantorbhavati jIvitam। kuzalena tvanukrAntaH kSipraM sampadyate sukhI ॥36॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसन्ति ह्येवंविधा रोगाः साध्या दारुणसम्मताः। ये हन्युरनुपक्रान्ता मिथ्याचारेण वा पुनः ॥३७॥
॥ Prognosis of diseases॥ There are certain curable diseases that become fatal if improperly managed or not given adequate treatment. There are other curable diseases that are mild and get alleviated certainly with or without effort.

santi hyevaMvidhA rogAH sAdhyA dAruNasammatAH। ye hanyuranupakrAntA mithyAcAreNa vA punaH ॥37॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसाध्याश्चाप्यपरे सन्ति व्याधयो मृदुसम्मताः। यत्नायत्नकृतं येषु कर्म सिध्यत्यसंशयम् ॥३८॥
There are incurable diseases, considered “palliable”, in which appropriate treatment enables the patient to move along.

sAdhyAzcApyapare santi vyAdhayo mRdusammatAH। yatnAyatnakRtaM yeSu karma sidhyatyasaMzayam ॥38॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसाध्याश्चापरे सन्ति व्याधयो याप्यसञ्ज्ञिताः। सुसाध्वपि कृतं येषु कर्म यात्राकरं भवेत् ॥३९॥
And finally, there are other incurable diseases that do not respond to any treatment. At times, ignorant physicians treat these enthusiastically.

asAdhyAzcApare santi vyAdhayo yApyasaJjJitAH। susAdhvapi kRtaM yeSu karma yAtrAkaraM bhavet ॥39॥
