प्रक्षिप्य बस्तौ मथितं खजेन सुबद्धमुच्छ्वास्य च निर्वलीकम्| अङ्गुष्ठमध्येन मुखं पिधाय नेत्राग्रसंस्थामपनीय वर्तिम्||१६||
The bladder should then be tied to the base of the nozzle, the air inside the bladder should be removed, and the bladder should be free from folds. Thereafter, varti (cotton plug) kept at the opening should be removed, and the opening should be covered with the middle part of the thumb.
