बस्तेरलाभे प्लवजो गलो वा स्यादङ्कपादः सुघनः पटो वा| आस्थापनार्हं पुरुषं विधिज्ञः समीक्ष्य पुण्येऽहनि शुक्लपक्षे||१२||
In case of non availability, plavaja gala (throat of a pelican), ankapada (skin of a bat), ghana pata (strong cloth) should be used. The physician well versed in the method of administering basti should administer this therapy to a patient who is fit, after the digestion of the meal consumed by him and who has a complete focus of mind on the therapy.
