Charak Samhita
न बन्धो न च मोक्षः स्यात् पुरुषो न भवेद्यदि। कारणं पुरुषस्तस्मात् कारणज्ञैरुदाहृतः ॥४१॥
Thus, the Purusha is recognized as a cause (of creation) by those well versed in the theory of causation. If Purusha is not recognized as a chief cause, then everything mentioned above will be considered as causeless.
english translation
na bandho na ca mokSaH syAt puruSo na bhavedyadi। kAraNaM puruSastasmAt kAraNajJairudAhRtaH ॥41॥
