Charak Samhita
उपादत्ते हि सा भावान् वेदनाश्रयसञ्ज्ञकान्। स्पृश्यते नानुपादाने नास्पृष्टो वेत्ति वेदनाः ॥१३५॥
Unless such factors are gathered, there will be no contact whatsoever and there can be no happiness or miseries without such contacts (Cause for such type of contact is again purusha).
