एतन्मूलकतैलाख्यं [३] वर्णायुर्बलवर्धनम् । इति मूलकतैलम् । यवकोलकुलत्थानां मत्स्यानां शिग्रुबिल्वयोः । रसेन मूलकानां च तैलं दधिपयोन्वितम् ॥१७६॥
It is also promotive of complexion, life and vitality. Thus mūlaka taila is explained. Medicated oil is prepared by taking sesame oil and cooking it in the decoction of barley, kola, horse gram, fish, drumstick, bael, radish, curds and milk.
english translation
etanmUlakatailAkhyaM [3] varNAyurbalavardhanam । iti mUlakatailam । yavakolakulatthAnAM matsyAnAM zigrubilvayoH । rasena mUlakAnAM ca tailaM dadhipayonvitam ॥176॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसाधयित्वा भिषग्दद्यात् सर्ववातामयापहम् । लशुनस्वरसे सिद्धं तैलमेभिश्च वातनुत् ॥१७७॥
This is curative of all vata disorders. The medicated oil prepared in the expressed juice of garlic and the drugs mentioned above, is curative of vata roga.

sAdhayitvA bhiSagdadyAt sarvavAtAmayApaham । lazunasvarase siddhaM tailamebhizca vAtanut ॥177॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतैलान्येतान्यृतुस्नातामङ्गनां पाययेत च । पीत्वाऽन्यतममेषां हि वन्ध्याऽपि जनयेत् सुतम् ॥१७८॥
These different oils may be given as potion to a woman who has just taken her purificatory bath on the cessation of menses. By taking any of this medicated oil as pana, even a sterile woman will become fertile.

tailAnyetAnyRtusnAtAmaGganAM pAyayeta ca । pItvA'nyatamameSAM hi vandhyA'pi janayet sutam ॥178॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयच्च शीतज्वरे तैलमगुर्वाद्यमुदाहृतम् । अनेकशतशस्तच्च सिद्धं स्याद्वातरोगनुत् ॥१७९॥
The agurvadya oil, which has been described in the treatment of shita jwara, if processed again many hundred times, becomes curative of vata disorders.

yacca zItajvare tailamagurvAdyamudAhRtam । anekazatazastacca siddhaM syAdvAtaroganut ॥179॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवक्ष्यन्ते यानि तैलानि वातशोणितकेऽपि च । तानि चानिलशान्त्यर्थं सिद्धिकामः प्रयोजयेत् ॥१८०॥
And the medicated oils, which will be described in the therapeutics of rheumatic conditions, may be prescribed for the alleviation of vāta disorders, by the physician desirous of success in treatment.

vakSyante yAni tailAni vAtazoNitake'pi ca । tAni cAnilazAntyarthaM siddhikAmaH prayojayet ॥180॥
