Charak Samhita
द्वे पले सैन्धवात् पञ्च शुण्ठ्या ग्रन्थिकचित्रकात् । द्वे द्वे भल्लातकास्थीनि विंशतिर्द्वे तथाऽऽढके ॥४५॥
॥ Saindhavadi taila॥ ne prastha (768 grams) of oil should be cooked by adding two palas (one pala = 48 grams) of saindhava, five palas of shunthi, two palas of granthika, two palas of chitraka, 20 fruits of bhallahaka and two adhakas of aranala.
