ज्ञातीन् ससुहृदो दारान् ब्राह्मणान्नृपतीन् गुरून्। अनुज्ञाप्य भिषक् कर्म विदध्यात् संशयं ब्रुवन् ॥१७६॥
then the physician should inform the critical state to the relative of the patient and start treating with venom of cobra after obtaining consent from the patients friends, spouse, brahmins, king as well as teacher.
english translation
jJAtIn sasuhRdo dArAn brAhmaNAnnRpatIn gurUn। anujJApya bhiSak karma vidadhyAt saMzayaM bruvan ॥176॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअक्रियायां ध्रुवो मृत्युः क्रियायां संशयो भवेत्। एवमाख्याय तस्येदमनुज्ञातः सुहृद्गणैः ॥१७७॥
The physician should win the confidence of these people after clearly stating that the patient will not survive if the treatment with venom is not made, and patient may survive if this treatment is done.

akriyAyAM dhruvo mRtyuH kriyAyAM saMzayo bhavet। evamAkhyAya tasyedamanujJAtaH suhRdgaNaiH ॥177॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपानभोजनसंयुक्तं विषमस्मै प्रयोजयेत्। यस्मिन् वा कुपितः सर्पो विसृजेद्धि फले विषम् ॥१७८॥
After obtaining the consent, the physician should mix the venom in food and drink and administer it to the patient.

pAnabhojanasaMyuktaM viSamasmai prayojayet। yasmin vA kupitaH sarpo visRjeddhi phale viSam ॥178॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभोजयेत्तदुदरिणं प्रविचार्य भिषग्वरः। तेनास्य दोषसङ्घातः स्थिरो लीनो विमार्गगः ॥१७९॥
Alternatively the angry serpent is made to release the venom while biting the fruit. Patient is allowed to consume this venomous fruit after proper analysis by the physician.

bhojayettadudariNaM pravicArya bhiSagvaraH। tenAsya doSasaGghAtaH sthiro lIno vimArgagaH ॥179॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविषेणाशुप्रमाथित्वादाशु भिन्नः प्रवर्तते। विषेण हृतदोषं तं शीताम्बुपरिषेचितम् ॥१८०॥
This treatment immediately liquefies the infiltrating displaced morbid dosha by virtue of its pramathi (clearing the channels adhered with dosha) property and eliminates from the body.

viSeNAzupramAthitvAdAzu bhinnaH pravartate। viSeNa hRtadoSaM taM zItAmbupariSecitam ॥180॥
