adhIyAnasya vA'tyuccairdUraM vA vrajato drutam। mahAnadIM vA tarato hayairvA saha dhAvataH ॥6॥

15. Who indulges in excess dry, less quantity food or limited food Kshatakshina, the formidable disease, gets manifested, as a result of the injury to the chest due to the above causative factors.

vikSate vakSasi vyAdhirbalavAn samudIryate। strISu cAtiprasaktasya rUkSAlpapramitAzinaH ॥8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउरो विरुज्यते तस्य भिद्यतेऽथ विभज्यते। प्रपीड्येते ततः पार्श्वे शुष्यत्यङ्गं प्रवेपते ॥९॥
॥ Pathogenesis and clinical features॥ Because of the above mentioned causative factors, the chest gets broken, punctured and cracked; sides of the chest get pressed and there is emaciation as well as tremor in the limbs.

uro virujyate tasya bhidyate'tha vibhajyate। prapIDyete tataH pArzve zuSyatyaGgaM pravepate ॥9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्रमाद्वीर्यं बलं वर्णो रुचिरग्निश्च हीयते। ज्वरो व्यथा मनोदैन्यं विड्भेदोऽग्निवधादपि ॥१०॥
Gradually the potency, strength, complexion, appetite and agni (the power of digestion) of the patient get reduced. The patient suffers from fever, pain, mental depression and diarrhea even with the diminution of agni (decreased power of digestion).
