आद्यं द्वितीयं च शुभे तु वर्षे कृतानुकारं कुरुतः प्रजानाम् । पापः प्रमाथी वृषविक्रमौ तु सुभिक्षदौ रोगभयप्रदौ च ॥ ८-३४ ॥

The first and the second years are auspicious and bring prosperity to the people. Pramāthin is inauspicious; Vṛṣa and Vikrama, however, give good harvests but also cause fear of disease.

english translation

AdyaM dvitIyaM ca zubhe tu varSe kRtAnukAraM kurutaH prajAnAm । pApaH pramAthI vRSavikramau tu subhikSadau rogabhayapradau ca ॥ 8-34 ॥
