सपृषतकण्ठशिरा वा तिलपिष्टनिभश्च ताम्रदृक्शस्तः । कृष्णचरणः सितो वा कृष्णो वा श्वेतचरणो यः ॥ ६५-०६ ॥
A goat which has a ringlet in the neck or head, or, one which is of the colour of the sesamum flour, or with red eyes or of white body and black legs, or of black body and white legs, will bring on prosperity.
english translation
sapRSatakaNThazirA vA tilapiSTanibhazca tAmradRkzastaH । kRSNacaraNaH sito vA kRSNo vA zvetacaraNo yaH ॥ 65-06 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयः कृष्णाण्डः श्वेतो मध्ये कृष्णेन भवति पट्टेन । यो वा चरति सशब्दं मन्दं च स शोभनश्छागः ॥ ६५-०७ ॥
A goat whose body is white, whose testicles are black, and which has a strip of cast off skin round the waist, as well as the goat that walks gently and with noise will bring on prosperity.
english translation
yaH kRSNANDaH zveto madhye kRSNena bhavati paTTena । yo vA carati sazabdaM mandaM ca sa zobhanazchAgaH ॥ 65-07 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऋष्यशिरोरुहपादो यो वा प्राक्पाण्डुरो अपरे नीलः । स भवति शुभकृच्छागः श्लोकश्चाप्यत्र गर्गौक्तः ॥ ६५-०८ ॥
A goat whose horns and legs resemble those of the antelope, as well as the one whose front part is white and the hind part black, will bring on prosperity. The following is Garga’s stanza on the subject of the goat.

RSyaziroruhapAdo yo vA prAkpANDuro apare nIlaH । sa bhavati zubhakRcchAgaH zlokazcApyatra gargauktaH ॥ 65-08 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकुट्टकः कुटिलश्चएव जटिलो वामनस्तथा । ते चत्वारः श्रियः पुत्रा नालक्ष्मीके वसन्ति ते ॥ ६५-०९ ॥
The four species of goats (chāga) known as—Kuṭṭaka, Kuṭila, Jaṭila and Vāmana are the children of Lakṣmī, the Goddess of wealth. These will never be found to live under the roof of poor people.

kuTTakaH kuTilazcaeva jaTilo vAmanastathA । te catvAraH zriyaH putrA nAlakSmIke vasanti te ॥ 65-09 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथाप्रशस्ताः खरतुल्यनादाः प्रदीप्तपुच्छाः कुनखा विवर्णाः । निकृत्तकर्णा द्विपमस्तकाश्च भवन्ति ये चासिततालुजिह्वाः ॥ ६५-१० ॥
A goat that bleats like the ass, whose tail is bright, nails disfigured, body of bad colour, ears cut or clipped, head resembling that of the elephant, and mouth corners and the tongue black, will not conduce to prosperity.
english translation
athAprazastAH kharatulyanAdAH pradIptapucchAH kunakhA vivarNAH । nikRttakarNA dvipamastakAzca bhavanti ye cAsitatAlujihvAH ॥ 65-10 ॥
