दक्षिणपार्श्वेन गतः शशी विशाखाअनुराधयोः पापः । मध्येन तु प्रशस्तः पितृदेव विशाखयोश्चापि ॥ ४-०६ ॥
If the moon should pass to the south of Viśākhā (the 16th constellation) and Anurādhā (the 17th constellation) she will bring on evil. If she should pass through the middle of Maghā (the 10th constellation) or of Viśākhā (the 16th constellation) she will bring on prosperity.

dakSiNapArzvena gataH zazI vizAkhAanurAdhayoH pApaH । madhyena tu prazastaH pitRdeva vizAkhayozcApi ॥ 4-06 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptषडनागतानि पौष्णाद्द्वादश रौद्राच्च मध्ययोगीनि । ज्येष्ठऽद्यानि नवऋक्षाण्युडुपतिनाअतीत्य युज्यन्ते ॥ ४-०७ ॥
In the six lunar mansions beginning from Revatī (the 27th) the stars are towards the east; and in the twelve beginning from Ārdrā (the 6th) they are in the centre; and in the nine beginning from Jyeṣṭhā (the 18th) they are in the west of the several mansions; and the moon’s conjunction with the several lunar mansions is said to take place when the moon is in the middle of these mansions.

SaDanAgatAni pauSNAddvAdaza raudrAcca madhyayogIni । jyeSTha'dyAni navaRkSANyuDupatinAatItya yujyante ॥ 4-07 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउन्नतं ईषच्छृङ्गं नौसंस्थाने विशालता चौक्ता । नाविकपीडा तस्मिन्भवति शिवं सर्वलोकस्य ॥ ४-०८ ॥
If the two horns of the moon should appear but slightly raised and far from each other presenting the appearance of a boat, she brings trouble on the sailors but prosperity on mankind at large.
english translation
unnataM ISacchRGgaM nausaMsthAne vizAlatA cauktA । nAvikapIDA tasminbhavati zivaM sarvalokasya ॥ 4-08 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअर्द्धौन्नते च लाङ्गलं इति पीडा तदुपजीविनां तस्मिन् । प्रीतिश्च निर्निमित्तं मनुजपतीनां सुभिक्षं च ॥ ४-०९ ॥
If the northern horn of the moon should be higher than the other by one-half, the moon appearing like a plough, ploughmen will then suffer. They and their prince will be friendly and there will be prosperity in the land.
english translation
arddhaunnate ca lAGgalaM iti pIDA tadupajIvinAM tasmin । prItizca nirnimittaM manujapatInAM subhikSaM ca ॥ 4-09 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदक्षिणविषाणं अर्धौन्नतं यदा दुष्टलाङ्गलऽख्यं तत् । पाण्ड्यनरेश्वरनिधनकृदुद्योगकरं बलानां च ॥ ४-१० ॥
If the southern horn should be higher than the other by one half, the appearance of the moon is also said to be plough like but of evil consequences. The ruler of Southern India will die and his army will engage in war.
