मगधान्मथुरां च पीडयेद्वेणायाश्च तटं शशाङ्कजः । अपरत्र कृतं युगं वदेद्यदि भित्त्वा शशिनं विनिर्गतः ॥ ४-२६ ॥
If Mercury should be so eclipsed the men of Magadha, of Mathurā and those on the banks of the river Veṇa will suffer miseries while the rest of the land will enjoy the happiness of Kṛtayuga.
english translation
magadhAnmathurAM ca pIDayedveNAyAzca taTaM zazAGkajaH । aparatra kRtaM yugaM vadedyadi bhittvA zazinaM vinirgataH ॥ 4-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्षेमऽरोग्यसुभिक्षविनाशी शीतांशुः शिखिना यदि भिन्नः । कुर्यादायुधजीविविनाशं चौराणां अधिकेन च पीडाम् ॥ ४-२७ ॥
If the Moon (candra) should be eclipsed by Ketu she will destroy prosperity, health and plenty. Artisans will perish and thieves will suffer greatly.
english translation
kSema'rogyasubhikSavinAzI zItAMzuH zikhinA yadi bhinnaH । kuryAdAyudhajIvivinAzaM caurANAM adhikena ca pIDAm ॥ 4-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउल्कया यदा शशी ग्रस्त एव हन्यते । हन्यते तदा नृपो यस्य जन्मनि स्थितः ॥ ४-२८ ॥
If while the moon is eclipsed, she be crossed by the fall of a meteor, that prince will die in the star of whose nativity the moon then happens to be.
english translation
ulkayA yadA zazI grasta eva hanyate । hanyate tadA nRpo yasya janmani sthitaH ॥ 4-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभस्मनिभः परुषो अरुणमूर्तिः शीतकरः किरणैः परिहीणः । श्यावतनुः स्फुटितः स्फुरणो वा क्षुड्डमर आमयचौरभयाय ॥ ४-२९ ॥
If the lunar disc be of ashy colour, of sharp rays or red, or rayless, or red black, or appear broken there will be fear of hunger, of war, of disease and of robbers.
english translation
bhasmanibhaH paruSo aruNamUrtiH zItakaraH kiraNaiH parihINaH । zyAvatanuH sphuTitaH sphuraNo vA kSuDDamara AmayacaurabhayAya ॥ 4-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रालेयकुन्दकुमुदस्फटिकावदातो यत्नादिवाद्रिसुतया परिमृज्य चन्द्रः । उच्चैः कृतो निशि भविष्यति मे शिवाय यो दृश्यते स भविता जगतः शिवाय ॥ ४-३० ॥
If the lunar disc should appear white and of the colour of the snow, of Kunda, of Kumuda and of crystal he brings prosperity on the land.
english translation
prAleyakundakumudasphaTikAvadAto yatnAdivAdrisutayA parimRjya candraH । uccaiH kRto nizi bhaviSyati me zivAya yo dRzyate sa bhavitA jagataH zivAya ॥ 4-30 ॥
