उदयसमये यः स्निग्धांशुर्महान्प्रकृतिस्थितो यदि च न हतो निर्घातौल्कारजोग्रहमर्दनैः । स्वभवनगतः स्वोच्चप्राप्तः शुभग्रहवीक्षितः स भवति शिवस्तेषां येषां प्रभुः परिकीर्तितः ॥ १६-३९ ॥

sanskrit

If at the time of reappearance, a planet should appear bright, of large disc and in his natural condition, not crossed by thunderbolts, meteoric falls or dust-storms and not suffer in conjunction with other planets or if he should be in his house or in his Uccakṣetra or if he should be within sight of a benefic planet, he will bring prosperity to the persons and objects presided over by him.

english translation

udayasamaye yaH snigdhAMzurmahAnprakRtisthito yadi ca na hato nirghAtaulkArajograhamardanaiH । svabhavanagataH svoccaprAptaH zubhagrahavIkSitaH sa bhavati zivasteSAM yeSAM prabhuH parikIrtitaH ॥ 16-39 ॥
