अश्विन्यां अश्वहराः सेनापतिवैद्यसेवकास्तुरगाः । तुरगारोहा वणिजो रूपोपेतास्तुरगरक्षाः ॥ १५-२६ ॥

Those who are born on the lunar day of Aśvinī will keep horses, will be commanders of army; physicians, servants, dealers in horse, riders, tradesmen or masters of horses.

याम्ये असृक्पिशितभुजः क्रूरा वधबन्धताडनऽसक्ताः । तुषधान्यं नीचकुलोद्भवा विहीनाश्च सत्त्वेन ॥ १५-२७ ॥

Those who are born on the lunar day of Bharaṇī will deal in precious stones, will be flesh eaters, will be wicked men; will delight in acts of killing and torture; will be dealers in pod grains; will be of low descent or weak-minded.

पूर्वात्रयं सानलं अग्रजानां राज्ञां तु पुष्येण सहोत्तराणि । सपौष्णमैत्रं पितृदैवतं च प्रजापतेर्भं च कृषीवलानाम् ॥ १५-२८ ॥

The constellations of Pūrvaphālguni, Pūrvāṣāḍha, Pūrvabhādrapada and Kṛttikā belong to the Brāhmaṇa class; those of Puṣya, Uttaraphālguni, Uttarabhādrapada belong to the Kṣatriya class; those of Revatī, Anurādhā, Maghā and Rohiṇī belong to the Śūdra class.

आदित्यहस्ताभिजिदाश्विनानि वणिग्जनानां प्रवदन्ति तानि । मूलत्रिनेत्रानिलवारुणानि भान्युग्रजातेः प्रभविष्णुतायाः ॥ १५-२९ ॥

The constellations of Punarvasu, Hasta, Abhijit and Aśvinī belong to the Vaiśya class; those of Mūla, Ārdrā, Svāti and Śatabhiṣaj belong to the butcher class.

AdityahastAbhijidAzvinAni vaNigjanAnAM pravadanti tAni । mUlatrinetrAnilavAruNAni bhAnyugrajAteH prabhaviSNutAyAH ॥ 15-29 ॥

सौम्याइन्द्रचित्रावसुदैवतानि सेवाजनस्वाम्यं उपागतानि । सार्पं विशाखा श्रवणो भरण्यश्चण्डालजातेर् अभिनिर्दिशन्ति ॥ १५-३० ॥

The constellations of Mṛgaśīrṣa, Jyeṣṭhā, Citrā and Dhaniṣṭhā belong to the serving class; those of Āśleṣā, Viśākhā, Śravaṇa and Bharaṇī belong to the lowest or Cāṇḍāla class.

saumyAindracitrAvasudaivatAni sevAjanasvAmyaM upAgatAni । sArpaM vizAkhA zravaNo bharaNyazcaNDAlajAter abhinirdizanti ॥ 15-30 ॥
