Brihat Samhita
उल्काअशनिधूमऽद्यैर्हता विवर्णा विरश्मयो ह्रस्वाः । हन्युः स्वं स्वं वर्गं विपुलाः स्निग्धाश्च तद्वृद्ध्यै ॥ १३-०७ ॥
If the Ṛṣis should be crossed by meteoric falls, thunderbolts or comets, or if they should appear dim or without rays or of very small disc, they will cause misery and suffering to the persons and objects they severally represent; but if they should appear big or bright there will be happiness and prosperity.

ulkAazanidhUma'dyairhatA vivarNA virazmayo hrasvAH । hanyuH svaM svaM vargaM vipulAH snigdhAzca tadvRddhyai ॥ 13-07 ॥
