स्वादर्क: प्रथमायबन्धुनिधनद्व्याज्ञातपोद्यूनगो वक्रात्स्वादिव तद्ववेव रविजाच्छुक्रात्स्मरान्त्यारिषु ॥ जीवाद्धर्मसुतायशत्रषु दशत्र्यायारिग: शीतगो- रेष्वेवान्त्यतप: सुतेषु च बुधाल्लग्नात्स बन्ध्वन्त्यग:॥९-१॥
The Sun from one’s own position situated in the 1st, 11th, 4th, 8th, 2nd, 10th, 9th, and 7th houses. From Mars, like the Sun’s own position. From Saturn, indeed, it is similar to that, (Mars). From Venus, in the 7th, 12th, and 6th houses. From Jupiter, in the 9th, 5th, 11th, and 6th houses. From the Moon, situated in the 10th, 3rd, 11th, and 6th. From Mercury, indeed, in these (10th, 3rd, 11th, and 6th houses) and in the 12th, 9th, and 5th houses. From the lagna, (the 10th, 3rd, 11th, and 6th houses) along with it situated in the 4th and 12th.
