प्रारब्धा हिमगौ दशा स्वगृहगे मानार्थसौख्यावहा कौजे दूषयति स्त्रियं बुधगृहे विद्यासुहृद्वित्तदा ॥ दुर्गारण्यपथालये कृषिकरी सिंहे सितर्क्षेऽन्नदा कुस्त्रीदा मृगकुम्भयोर्गृरुगृहे मानार्थसौख्यावहा ॥ ८-११ ॥
The dasha commenced when the Moon is situated in one’s own zodiac sign, it produces honor, wealth, and pleasure. When related to Mars, it spoils the wife. In the zodiac sign of Mercury, it produces knowledge, friends, and wealth. In Leo one creates a harvest in a dwelling by roads, forest, and strongholds. In the zodiac sign of Venus, it grants food. In Capricorn and Aquarius, a bad wife. In the zodiac sign of Jupiter, it produces honor, wealth, and pleasure.

When related to the Sun, wealth with claws, tusks, leather, gold, cruelty, passage, royalty, and battle; harshness, steadfastness, constancy, pleasure from exertion, fame, elevation to glory, and production of wife, child, wealth, enemy, weapon, fire, and royalty. In regards to misfortune; renouncing, pleasure in evil, battle with one’s own servants, and full of pains in the heart and chest.

During the beneficial dasa of Moon, a person gets mantra and good advice from Brahmins, gets sugarcane juice and its products, milk and its products, clothes, flowers, til, food, occasions for play and useful exertions. If the dasa is adverse one feels sleepy and lazy. ln good dasa he is gentle compassionate and serves Brahmins and devatas. He gets female progeny, retentive memory. He may get gain or loss of wealth and honour.

Of Mars; wealth with that coming from sheep, the earth, siblings, kings, war, and enemies; hatred with children, friends, wives, and siblings; the state of hating the learned and teachers, diseases produced with greed, blood, fever, pitta, and breaks and those created with the wife of another, pleasure with those delighted with evil, fondness for wickedness, and those of violence and harshness.

In Mercury there is wealth from messengers, friends, teachers, and Brahmins, praise from the wise, fame; gaining skill, property, gold, mule, land, good fortune, and enjoyment; skill in amusement and service, collection of knowledge, successes in pious work, harsh language, mental sorrows, bondage, weariness, and pain from the three humours.
