मन्दर्क्षांशे शशिनि हिबुके मन्ददृष्टेऽब्जगे वा तद्युक्ते वा तमसि शयनं नीचसंस्थैश्च भूमौ ॥ यद्वद्राशिर्व्रजति हरिजं गर्भमोक्षस्तु तद्वत् पापैश्चन्द्रस्मरसुखगतै: क्लेशमाहुर्जनन्या: ॥ ५-१७॥
When the Moon is in the portion of the zodiac sign of Saturn, in the fourth house, aspected by Saturn, or when situated in water (portions of the zodiac sign), or when joined that (Saturn), ॥ the birth॥ is in darkness of a delivery room. And with those situated in a debilitated places, ॥ the birth॥ is on the earth. As the zodiac sign attains the lagna, just so is the birth, but just so ॥ the Moon॥ with malefics ॥ or॥ situated in the 7th and 4th houses, they said there is travail of the mother.

mandarkSAMze zazini hibuke mandadRSTe'bjage vA tadyukte vA tamasi zayanaM nIcasaMsthaizca bhUmau ॥ yadvadrAzirvrajati harijaM garbhamokSastu tadvat pApaizcandrasmarasukhagatai: klezamAhurjananyA: ॥ 5-17॥
