गोसिंहौ जितुमाष्टमौ क्रियतुले कन्यामृगौ च क्रमात् संवर्ग्यो दशकाष्टसप्तविषयै: शेषा: स्वयंख्यागुणा: ॥ जीवारास्फजिदैन्दवा: पथमवक्छेषा ग्रहा: सौम्यवद्राशीनां नियतो विधिर्ग्रहयुतै: कार्या च तद्वर्गणा ॥ २६-९ ॥
Taurus and Leo, Gemini and Scorpio, Aries and Libra, and Virgo and Capricorn, in that order, are to be multiplied by 10, 8, 7, and 5, respectively. Those remaining (Cancer, Sagittarius, Aquarius, and Pisces) are multiplied by one’s own number (4, 9, 11, and 12, respectively). Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury are as initially indicated (are to be multiplied by 10, 8, 7, and 5, respectively). Those remaining planets (the Sun, Moon, and Saturn) are like Mercury (to be multiplied by 5).
