क्रूरेऽष्टष्मे विधवता निधनेश्वरोंऽशे यस्य स्थितो वय?सि तस्य समे प्रदिष्टा ॥ सत्स्वर्थगेषु मरणं स्वयमेव तस्या: कन्यालिगोहरिषु चाल्पसुतत्वमिन्दौ ॥ २४-१४ ॥
When there is a malefic in the 7th house there is widowhood is indicated of which the portion (navamsha) of the lord of the 8th house is situated, in the period of that.
