यद्यत्फलं नरभवेऽक्षममङ्गनानां तत्तद्ववेत्पतिषु वचा सकलं विधेयम् ॥ तासां तु भर्तृमरणं निधने वपुस्तु लग्नेन्दुगं सुभगतास्तमये पतिश्च ॥ २४-१ ॥
Whatever result is in the birth of a male, this and that (result) possible of those women one should declare. Or when the husband ॥ is analyzed in the female’s horoscope॥, all are prescribed of those (females). The death of the husband, one should declare in the 8th house. The body (of the female) is situated with the lagna or the Moon. Conjugal felicity and the husband in the 7th house.

When the lagna and the Moon are in even (zodiac signs), a female is established in the nature of the feminine. When the two are aspected by benefics, a female is joined to virtuous disposition and ornaments (other virtues). When the lagna and the Moon are situated in odd (zodiac signs), a female is joined to a masculine character and appearance. When the lagna and the Moon are aspected or joined to malefics, a female is vicious and deficient of good qualities.

When the zodiac sign is lorded by Mars (Aries and Scorpio) among the (trimshamsha) portions ॥ occupied by the lagna or the Moon॥ are respectively of Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus; here indeed a female attains corruption, slavery, virtue, is with deceit, and joined to bad behavior.
