वंशच्छेत्ता खमदसुखगैश्चन्द्रदैत्येज्यपापै: शिल्पी त्र्यंशे शशिसुतयुते केन्द्रसंस्थार्किदृष्टे ॥ दास्यां जातो वितिसुतगुरौ रि:फगे सौरभागे नीचोऽर्केन्द्वोर्मदनगतयोर्दुष्टयो: सूर्यजेन ॥ २३-६ ॥
One does not continue the family line with the Moon in the 10th house, Venus in the 7th house, and the malefics in the 4th house. One is a craftsman, when a drekkana joined to Mercury is aspected by Saturn situated in an angle. One is born in the womb of a servant, when Venus is situated in the 12th house in a portion (navamsha) of Saturn. पापालोकितयोरस्तस्थयोर्वाध्यरुक् चन्द्रे कर्कटवृश्चिकांशकगते पापैर्युते गुह्यरुक् ॥ श्चित्री रि:फधनस्थयोरशुभयोश्चन्द्रोदयेऽस्ते रवौ चन्द्रे खेदऽवनिजेऽस्तगे च विकलो यद्यर्कजो वेशिग: ॥ २३-७ ॥
When Venus and Mars are in the 7th house aspected by malefics, one has a disease that will be visible. When the Moon situated in the portion (navamsha) of Cancer or Scorpio joined with malefics, one has a disease that will be concealed. When the Moon is rising and the two malefics are in the 12th and 2nd (one in each house) and the Sun is in the 7th house, one is a leper. If the Moon is in the 10th house, Mars is in the 7th house, and Saturn is situated in veshi (2nd from the Sun), one is deformed.

अन्त: शशिन्यशुभयोर्मुंग्रगे पतङ्गे श्वासक्षयप्लीहकविद्रधिगुल्मभाज: ॥ शोषी परस्परगृहांशगयो रवीन्दो: क्षेत्रेऽथवा युगपदेकगयो: कृशोवा ॥ २३-८ ॥
When the Moon is in between the two malefics and the Sun is situated in Capricorn, one is born with issues resembling loss of breath (asthma), abscess and chronic enlargement of the spleen. Or one is withering when the Sun and Moon situated in the portion (navamsha) of each other’s zodiac sign. Or at the same time when the two (the Sun and Moon) are situated in the same zodiac sign (either Cancer or Leo), one is emaciated.

चन्द्रेऽश्विमध्यझषकर्किमृगाजभागे कुष्ठी समन्दरुचिरे तदवेक्षिते वा ॥ यातैस्त्रिकोणमलिकर्किवृषैर्मृ गे च कुष्ठी च पापसहितैरवलोकितैर्वा ॥ २३-९ ॥
When the Moon is in the middle of Sagittarius or in the portion (navamsha) of Pisces, Cancer, Capricorn, or Aries with Saturn and Mars or aspected by those two, one is possessed of leprosy. With Scorpio, Cancer, or Taurus going to the trine and with those situated or aspected by the malefics in Capricorn, one is possessed of leprosy.

निधनारिधनव्ययन्थिता रविचन्द्रारयमा यथा तथा ॥ बलवद्ग्रहदोषकारणैर्मनुजानां जनयन्त्यनेत्रताम् ॥ २३-१० ॥
The Sun, the Moon, Mars, and Saturn irrespectively situated 8th house, 6th house, 2nd house, or 12th house, produces blindness of those people by those produced from the dosha of planets possessed of strength.
