मूलादिस्नेहकूटैर्व्यवहरति वणिग्बाहुयोद्धा ससौम्ये पुर्यध्यक्ष: सजीवे भवति नरपति: प्राप्तवित्तो द्विजो वा ॥ गोपो मल्लोऽथ दक्ष: परयुवतिरतो द्यू तकृत्सासुरेज्ये दु:खार्तोऽसत्यसन्ध: ससवितृतनये भूमिजे निन्दितश्च ॥ १४-३ ॥
When Mars is with Mercury, one is a merchant doing business with collections of roots, etc. and oils and a wrestler. When with Jupiter; one is a superintendent of a city, ruler of people, has wealth that is acquired, or a Brahmin. When with Venus, one is a herdsman, athlete, clever, delighted in the young women of others, and a gambler. When with Saturn, one is afflicted with difficulty and joined to falsehood, and despicable.
