Astanga Hrudaya
विद्धेऽजस्रमसृक्स्रावो मांसधावनवत्तनुः। पाण्डुत्वमिन्द्रियाज्ञानं मरणं चाशु मांसजे॥४७॥
When mamsa marma (i.e. vital spot predominant in muscle tissue) are injured, there will be continuous bleeding, blood being thin, resembling water in which meat is washed; pallor (of the skin), loss of function of the sense organs and quick death.

viddhe'jasramasRksrAvo mAMsadhAvanavattanuH। pANDutvamindriyAjJAnaM maraNaM cAzu mAMsaje॥47॥
