अन्नं कालेऽभ्यवहृतं कोष्ठं प्राणानिलाहृतम्। द्रवैर्विभिन्नसङ्घातं नीतं स्नेहेन मार्द्वम्॥५५॥
Aharapaka digestive processes: The food ingested at the proper time, is drawn into the alimentary tract by the pranavata, its hard/big masses split and made soft by the unctuousness of the liquid;

annaM kAle'bhyavahRtaM koSThaM prANAnilAhRtam। dravairvibhinnasaGghAtaM nItaM snehena mArdvam॥55॥
