जिह्वायां हनुवत्तासामधो द्वे रसबोधने। द्वे च वाचःप्रवर्तिन्यौ नासायां चतुरुत्तरा॥२८॥

In the Jihva (tongue) their number is same as in lower jaw (sixteen); of them two lower ones which make for taste perception and two which make for speech (should not be cut) in the nose there are twenty four;

english translation

jihvAyAM hanuvattAsAmadho dve rasabodhane। dve ca vAcaHpravartinyau nAsAyAM caturuttarA॥28॥
