Astanga Hrudaya
दोषान् उत्क्लेश्य निर्हर्तुमशक्तं जनयेद्गदान् । विभ्रंशं श्वयथुं हिध्मां तमसो दर्शनं तृषम् ॥ ६ ॥
it excites or agitates the morbid doshas (utkleśya) but fails to expel them from the body (nirhartum-aśaktam), thereby generating various diseases. These include vibhraṃśa (loss of sensory/mental function or apathy), swelling/edema (śwayathu), hiccup (hidhmā), temporary blindness/fainting (tamaso darśanam), and excessive thirst (tṛṣā).

doSAn utklezya nirhartumazaktaM janayedgadAn । vibhraMzaM zvayathuM hidhmAM tamaso darzanaM tRSam ॥ 6 ॥
