Astanga Hrudaya
फलान्यम्लानि खादेयुस्तस्य चान्येऽग्रतो नराः । निःसृतां तु तिलद्राक्षाकल्कलिप्तां प्रवेशयेत् ॥ ३० ॥
Other people should sit directly in front of the patient and eat sour fruits (to reflexively stimulate salivation and bring the tongue forward). Conversely, if the tongue has protruded out (niḥsṛtāṃ) and won't go back, it should be smeared with a paste (kalka) of sesame (tila) and raisins (drākṣā), and then gently pushed back inside.

phalAnyamlAni khAdeyustasya cAnye'grato narAH । niHsRtAM tu tiladrAkSAkalkaliptAM pravezayet ॥ 30 ॥
