महास्नेहः शकृच्छुक्रवातसङ्गानिलव्यथाः । विरेचने मुख्यतमा नवैते त्रिवृतादयः ॥ ५७ ॥
Mahāsneha (a medicated combination of four lipids: ghee, oil, fat, and marrow) prepared with these roots cures the retention or obstruction of feces, semen, and flatus, as well as general aches and pains caused by aggravated Vata. For producing purgations (purgative therapy), chielfly used herbs are these nine (herbs) commencing with Trivrit – Operculina turpethum
