स्रुतदोषस्य तं शीघ्रं यथावह्न्यनुवासयेत् । शतपुष्पावरीभ्यां च बिल्वेन मधुकेन च ॥ ७१ ॥
in a patient whose morbid doṣas have already been eliminated, then he should be quickly given an anuvāsana basti (oil enema therapy), depending on the strength of his digestive fire. The medicated ghee prepared with śatapuṣpā – Anethum graveolens, varī – Asparagus racemosus, bilva – Aegle marmelos, and madhuka – Glycyrrhiza glabra,

तैलपादं पयोयुक्तं पक्वमन्वासनं घृतम् । अशान्तावित्यतीसारे पिच्छावस्तिः परं हितः ॥ ७२ ॥
along with one-fourth part of oil and mixed with milk, is cooked to form the perfect formulation for anuvāsana (fat enema). If the diarrhea does not subside by the above treatments, the administration of a picchā basti (mucilaginous enema) is highly beneficial.

परिवेष्ट्य कुशैरार्द्रैरार्द्रवृन्तानि शाल्मलेः । कृष्णमृत्तिकयाऽऽलिप्य स्वेदयेद्गोमयाग्निना ॥ ७३ ॥
Moist leaf stalks of śālmalī – Bombax ceiba are wrapped with green kuśa – Desmostachya bipinnata grass, given a thick coating of black clay, and then cooked/roasted in the fire of cow dung cakes.

मृच्छोषे तानि सङ्क्षुद्य तत्पिण्डं मुष्टिसम्मितम् । मर्दयेत्पयसः प्रस्थे पूतेनास्थापयेत्ततः ॥ ७४ ॥
When the clay plaster completely dries, it is broken open; the stalks are crushed well, and one muṣṭi (approx. 48 grams) of this bolus is macerated with one prastha (768 ml) of milk and filtered. This liquid is used for the enema;

नतयष्ट्याह्वकल्काज्यक्षौद्रतैलवतानु च । स्नातो भुञ्जीत पयसा जाङ्गलेन रसेन वा ॥ ७५ ॥
after adding the paste of nata – Valeriana wallichii and yaṣṭyāhva – Glycyrrhiza glabra, along with ghee, honey, and oil. After the enema has returned, the patient should bathe and eat food with either milk or the meat soup of wild animals (jāṅgala rasa).
