This confection (avalehaḥ) is then mixed with the fine powders of trikaṭuka (Zingiber officinale, Piper longum, and Piper nigrum), miśi – Foeniculum vulgare, pathyā – Terminalia chebula, kuṣṭha – Saussurea lappa, mustā – Cyperus rotundus, varāṅga – Cinnamomum zeylanicum, kṛmiripu – Embelia ribes, dahana – Plumbago zeylanica, and elā – Elettaria cardamomum. When consumed regularly (śaśvad-abhyasyamānaḥ), it conquers gudaja (hemorrhoids), kuṣṭha (skin diseases), plīhā (splenomegaly), gulma (abdominal tumors), and udara (ascites), while strongly stimulating the digestive fire (hutāśam).
