One Tula (4.8 kg) of the bark of pūtikarañja – Caesalpinia bonduc, and two Tula (9.6 kg) of the roots of citraka – Plumbago zeylanica and kaṇṭakārī – Solanum xanthocarpum combined, are boiled in three Droṇa (36.864 liters) of water until it reduces to one-fourth (caraṇa-avaśeṣe). This filtered decoction is then added with one hundred Pala (4.8 kg) of jaggery (guḍasya).
