इक्ष्वारिकाबिसग्रन्थिपद्मकेसरचन्दनैः । शृतं पयो मधुयुतं सन्धानार्थं पिबेत् क्षती ॥ ७६ ॥

Flour of ama Yava (unfried, uncooked Barley – Hordeum vulgare) is boiled with milk and consumed along with ghee, when there is fever and burning sensation; or it can be consumed along with sugar, honey, flour and milk mixed together may be consumed

yavAnAM cUrNamAmAnAM kSIre siddhaM ghRtAnvitam । jvaradAhe sitAkSaudrasaktUnvA payasA pibet ॥ 77 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकासवांस्तु पिबेत् सर्पिर्मधुरौषधसाधितम् । गुडोदकं वा क्वथितं सक्षौद्रमरिचं हितम् ॥ ७८ ॥
The patient suffering from cough should drink medicated ghee processed with herbs of sweet taste (Madhura Gana). Alternatively, a solution of jaggery (molasses) that has been boiled and cooled, then mixed with honey and the powder of Piper nigrum, is highly beneficial.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptचूर्णमामलकानां वा क्षीरे पक्वं घृतान्वितम् । रसायनविधानेन पिप्पलीर्वा प्रयोजयेत् ॥ ७९ ॥
Or, the powder of Emblica officinalis boiled in milk and mixed with ghee may be taken. Alternatively, Piper longum should be administered in accordance with the prescribed Rasayana procedure (rejuvenation therapy).

hk transliteration by Sanscriptकासी पर्वास्थिशूली च लिह्यात् सघृतमाक्षिकाः । मधूकमधुकद्राक्षात्वक्क्षीरीपिप्पलीबलाः ॥ ८० ॥
The patient of cough associated with pain in the ribs should lick the powder of Madhuca longifolia, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Vitis vinifera, Bambusa bambos, Piper longum and Sida cordifolia mixed with ghee and honey.
