बालबिल्वं चकर्षांशं साधयेत्सलिलाढके। तेनपक्वोघृतप्रस्थः शोफार्शोगुल्ममेहहा ॥ १२ ॥

bālabilvaṃ – tender fruit of Aegle marmelos, karṣa aṃśaṃ – each one Karsa (12 grams) are boiled in one Adhaka (3 litres 72 ml) of water and decoction prepared; one Prastha (768 grams) of ghee is mixed and medicated ghee prepared. This cures oedema, hemorrhoids, abdominal tumor and diabetes.

Medicated ghee prepared from milk mixed with (powder of) curds, citraka – Plumbago zeylanica or takra saṃyutam – (butter milk) obtained from those curds, with paste of Plumbago zeylanica and ghee has properties same as above. Either Dhanvantara Ghrta (chapter 12 of Cikitsa sthana)

धान्वन्तरं महातिक्तं कल्याणमभयाघृतम्। दशमूलकषायस्य कंसे पथ्याशतं पचेत्॥१४॥

Mahatiktaka Ghrta (chapter 19 of Cikitsa Sthana) Kalyanaka Ghrta (chapter of Ciikisasthana) and Abhaya Ghrta may be administered determining the stage of the disease. One hundred fruits of pathyā (Terminalia chebula) are boiled in one kaṃsa (approx. 3.072 liters/kg) of the decoction of daśamūla.

दत्त्वा गुडतुलां तस्मिन् लेहे दद्याद्विचूर्णितम् । त्रिजातकं त्रिकटुकं किञ्चिच्च यवशूकजम् ॥ १५ ॥

To this, one tulā (4.8 kg) of jaggery is added, and the mixture is cooked to a confection-like consistency. Once the leha (confection) is formed, a fine powder of trijātaka (Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Elettaria cardamomum, and Cinnamomum tamala), trikaṭu (Piper nigrum, Piper longum, and Zingiber officinale), and a small quantity of yavaśūkaja (alkali derived from Hordeum vulgare) are mixed in.
