रूक्षशीतगुरुस्वादुव्यायामबलनिग्रहैः । कफसम्मूर्छितो वायुर्यदा पित्तं बहिः क्षिपेत् ॥ ४६ ॥
By indulgence in foods which are dry, cold, heavy (not easily digestible), and sweet, or due to excessive exercise and over-exertion/suppression of physical urges, Vāta gets aggravated in association with Kapha and expels Pitta outward from its natural seat.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptहारिद्रनेत्रमूत्रत्वक् श्वेतवर्चास्तदा नरः । भवेत्साटोपविष्टम्भो गुरुणा हृदयेन च ॥ ४७ ॥
Then the person develops a turmeric-like yellow color in the eyes, urine, and skin, while the feces turn white (clay-colored). This is accompanied by flatulence (gurgling noise in the abdomen), constipation, and a feeling of heaviness in the region of the heart.

Debility, poor digestive fire, pain in the flanks, hiccup, dyspnoea, loss of appetite, and fever gradually manifest when Pitta leaves its normal site and becomes localized in the śākhās (peripheral tissues/blood).

The patient should be fed with the meat soup of peacock, black partridge, or wild cock prepared with dry, pungent, and sour ingredients; or with the soup of dried Raphanus sativus (radish) or Dolichos biflorus (horse gram).

Diets that are intensely sour, penetrating (sharp), pungent, salty, and hot in potency are highly recommended. Similarly, the powder of vyoṣa (Piper nigrum, Piper longum, and Zingiber officinale) should be licked along with the fresh juice of Citrus medica to clear the channels.
