स्वं पित्तमेति तेनास्य शकृदप्यनुरज्यते । वायुश्च याति प्रशमं sahaटोपाद्युपद्रवैः ॥ ५१ ॥
By this treatment, Pitta returns to its own natural seat (the gastrointestinal tract), whereby the feces regain their normal color, and Vāta is pacified along with the flatulence and other associated complications.

निवृत्तोपद्रवस्यास्य कार्यः कामलिको विधिः । गोमूत्रेण पिबेत्कुम्भकामलायां शिलाजतु ॥ ५२ ॥
Once these acute complications have subsided, the standard line of treatment prescribed for kāmalā (jaundice) should be systematically administered. In kumbha kāmalā (an advanced or chronic stage of jaundice), one should consume śilājatu (asphaltum) mixed with cow's urine,

मासं माक्षिकधातुं वा किट्टं वाऽथ हिरण्यजम् । गुडूचीस्वरसक्षीरसाधितेन हलीमकी ॥ ५३ ॥
or likewise, mākṣika dhātu (copper-iron pyrites) or the kiṭṭa (scoria/slag) of iron or gold, continuously for a period of one month. A patient suffering from halīmaka should be given oleation therapy (snehana) using buffalo ghee cooked with the fresh juice of Tinospora cordifolia and milk.

महिषीहविषा स्निग्धः पिबेद्धात्रीरसेन तु । त्रिवृतां तद्विरिक्तोऽद्यात्स्वादु पित्तानिलापहम् ॥ ५४ ॥
Once properly oleated, the patient should consume Operculina turpethum (trivṛt) along with the juice of Emblica officinalis for purgation. After undergoing purgation, they should consume sweet foods that mitigate both Pitta and Vāta.

द्राक्षालेहं च पूर्वोक्तं सर्पींषि मधुराणि च । यापनान् क्षीरवस्तींश्च शीलयेत्सानुवासनान् ॥ ५५ ॥
Thereafter, they should regularly use the Drākṣā Leha described earlier (in verses 29-31), medicated ghees prepared with sweet herbs, and Yāpanā Bastis (rejuvenating enemas) prepared with milk, interspersed with Anuvāsana (oil/unctuous enemas).
