घृतमाशु निहन्ति साधितं ज्वरमग्निं विषमं हलीमकम् । अरुचिं भृशतापमंसयोर्वमथुं पार्श्वशिरोरुजं क्षयम् ॥ ९१ ॥

Desmodium gangeticum quickly cures fevers, irregularities of digestion, advanced stage of jaundice loss of taste and appetite, severe burning sensation in the shoulders, vomiting, pain in the flanks and headache and consumption (tuberculosis).

तैल्वकं पवनजन्मनि ज्वरे योजयेत्त्रिवृतया वियोजितम् । तिक्तकं वृषघृतं च पैत्तिके यच्च पालनिकया शृतं हविः ॥ ९२ ॥

Tailvaka, Tiktaka and Vrisha Ghrita : Tailvaka Ghrita (vide – chapter 21/32) devoid of Operculina turpethum should be administered in fever born of Pavana (Vata), Tiktaka Ghrita (vide chapter 19/2), Vrsa Ghrita (chapter 2/40) and that processed with Gentiana kurroo is suitable for fevers arising from Pitta.

विडङ्गसौवर्चलचव्यपाठाव्योषाग्निसिन्धूद्भवयावशूकैः । पलांशकैः क्षीरसमं घृतस्य प्रस्थं पचेज्जीर्णकफज्वरघ्नम् ॥ ९३ ॥

Ghee prepared with fresh juice and paste of Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), (juice and paste of) Triphala (fruits of Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellirica and Emblica officinalis), or with juice and paste of Adhatoda vasica or with Vitis vinifera or with Sida cordifolia (thus five recipes separately) cure fevers

जीर्णे घृते च भुञ्जीत मृदुमांसरसौदनम् । बलं ह्यलं दोषहरं परं तच्च बलप्रदम् ॥ ९५ ॥

Measures to be taken after the digestion of ghee : After the medicated ghee is well digested, the patient should eat Odana (boiled rice) along with soup of soft meat. Strength (of the tissues/body) itself is enough to overcome the Doshas and this (rice mess and meat soup), is the best for giving strength.
