प्रागल्पवह्निर्भुञ्जानो न ह्यजीर्णेन पीड्यते । कषायपानपथ्यान्नैर्दशाह इति लङ्घिते ॥ ८१ ॥

prAgalpavahnirbhuJjAno na hyajIrNena pIDyate । kaSAyapAnapathyAnnairdazAha iti laGghite ॥ 81 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्पिर्दद्यात्कफे मन्दे वातपित्तोत्तरे ज्वरे । पक्वेषु दोषेष्वमृतं तद्विषोपममन्यथा ॥ ८२ ॥
ghee (medicated) may be administered for fever which has less Kapha and more Vata and Pitta; ghee is like ambrosia when the Doshas are Pakva (well processed by heat and not having Ama) but is poison when otherwise (Doshas are Apakva and having Ama).

sarpirdadyAtkaphe mande vAtapittottare jvare । pakveSu doSeSvamRtaM tadviSopamamanyathA ॥ 82 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदशाहे स्यादतीतेऽपि ज्वरोपद्रववृद्धिकृत् । लङ्घनादिक्रमं तत्र कुर्यादाकफसङ्क्षयात् ॥ ८३ ॥
Even after the lapse of ten days, it (drinking ghee)will cause increase of Upadravas (complications, secondary diseases) of fever, if there is Kapha dominance, then Langhana (fasting) and other methods (of making the body thin) should be adopted till the Kapha undergoes decrease completely.

dazAhe syAdatIte'pi jvaropadravavRddhikRt । laGghanAdikramaM tatra kuryAdAkaphasaGkSayAt ॥ 83 ॥
