Arthashastra
तस्माद् देवता आश्रम पाषण्ड श्रोत्रिय पशु पुण्य स्थानानां बाल वृद्ध व्याधित व्यसन्य् अनाथानां स्त्रीणां च क्रमेण कार्याणि पश्येत्, कार्य गौरवाद् आत्ययिक वशेन वा ॥
He shall, therefore, personally attend to the business of gods, of heretics, of Bráhmans learned in the Vedas, of cattle, of sacred places, of minors, the aged, the afflicted, and the helpless, and of women;---all this in order (of enumeration) or according to the urgency or pressure of those works.
english translation
tasmAd devatA Azrama pASaNDa zrotriya pazu puNya sthAnAnAM bAla vRddha vyAdhita vyasany anAthAnAM strINAM ca krameNa kAryANi pazyet, kArya gauravAd Atyayika vazena vA ॥
