सूत मागधाः शूराणां स्वर्गम् अस्वर्गं भीरूणां जाति संघ कुल कर्म वृत्त स्तवं च योधानां वर्णयेयुः ॥
Soothsayers and court bards should describe heaven as the goal for the brave and hell for the timid; and also extol the caste, corporation, family, deeds, and character of his men.
english translation
sUta mAgadhAH zUrANAM svargam asvargaM bhIrUNAM jAti saMgha kula karma vRtta stavaM ca yodhAnAM varNayeyuH ॥
