लब्धायां सिद्धः कलहः ॥
but when she is secured, quarrel will necessarily ensue.

labdhAyAM siddhaH kalahaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभिक्षुकी वा प्रिय भार्यं मुख्यं ब्रूयात् "असौ ते मुख्यो यौवन उत्सिक्तो भार्यायां मां प्राहिणोत्, तस्य अहं भयाल् लेख्यम् आभरणं गृहीत्वा आगता अस्मि, निर्दोषा ते भार्या, गूढम् अस्मिन् प्रतिकर्तव्यम्, अहम् अपि तावत् प्रतिपत्स्यामि" इति ॥
A mendicant woman may tell a chief who is fond of his wife: "This (another) chief, proud of his youth, has sent me to entice your wife; being afraid of him, I have taken with me his letter and jewellery (for your wife); your wife: is free from sin; secret steps should be taken against him; and I am very anxious (about your success)."
english translation
bhikSukI vA priya bhAryaM mukhyaM brUyAt "asau te mukhyo yauvana utsikto bhAryAyAM mAM prAhiNot, tasya ahaM bhayAl lekhyam AbharaNaM gRhItvA AgatA asmi, nirdoSA te bhAryA, gUDham asmin pratikartavyam, aham api tAvat pratipatsyAmi" iti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं आदिषु कलह स्थानेषु स्वयम् उत्पन्ने वा कलहे तीक्ष्णैर् उत्पादिते वा हीन पक्षं राजा कोश दण्डाभ्याम् उपगृह्य विगुणेषु विक्रमयेद् अपवाहयेद् वा ॥
Thus in these and other kinds of brawls which have originated of themselves or which have been brought about by spies, the conqueror should help the inferior party with men and money and set them against the wicked or cause them to migrate (to other parts of the country).
english translation
evaM AdiSu kalaha sthAneSu svayam utpanne vA kalahe tIkSNair utpAdite vA hIna pakSaM rAjA koza daNDAbhyAm upagRhya viguNeSu vikramayed apavAhayed vA ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंघेष्व् एवम् एक राजो वर्तेत ॥
Thus he should live as the only monarch of all the corporations.
english translation
saMgheSv evam eka rAjo varteta ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंघाश् च अप्य् एवम् एक राजाद् एतेभ्यो अतिसंघान् एभ्यो रक्षयेयुः ॥
the corporations also, under the protection of such a single monarch, should guard themselves against all kinds of treachery.
