पितृ द्रव्य आदाने स्तेयं भजेत ॥
for taking possession of paternal property (under such circumstances) shall be regarded as theft.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरम् उद्दिश्य अन्यस्य विन्दतो द्वि शतो दण्डः ॥
Any person who, while pretending to secure a bride to a particular person, ultimately obtains her for a third person shall be fined 200 panas.

param uddizya anyasya vindato dvi zato daNDaH ॥

No man shall have sexual intercourse with any woman against her will.

na ca prAkAMyam akAmAyAM labheta ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकन्याम् अन्यां दर्शयित्वा अन्यां प्रयच्छतः शत्यो दण्डस् तुल्यायाम्, हीनायां द्वि गुणः ॥
If a person substitutes in marriage another maiden for the one he has before shown, he shall, if the substitute is of the same rank, be fined 100 panas, and 200 panas if she is of lower rank.

kanyAm anyAM darzayitvA anyAM prayacchataH zatyo daNDas tulyAyAm, hInAyAM dvi guNaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रकर्मण्य् अकुमार्याश् चतुष् पञ्चाशत् पणो दण्डः, शुल्क व्यय कर्मणी च प्रतिदद्यात् ॥
The substituted maiden shall be fined 54 panas, while the offender shall also be compelled to return both the nuptial fee and the amount of expenditure (incurred by the bridegroom).
