कृत्य पक्ष उपग्रहेण वा परस्य अमित्रं राजानम् आत्मन्य् अपकारयित्वा अभियुञ्जीत ॥
Or, by seizing an opportune moment, a king may cause an enemy king to act against his own interests and then attack him.
english translation
ततः परस्य प्रेषयेत् "असौ ते वैरी मम अपकरोति, तम् एहि सम्भूय हनिष्यावः, भूमौ हिरण्ये वा ते परिग्रहः" इति ॥
Then, one should send word to another, saying: "This enemy of yours is harming me. Come , let us unite and kill him. The land or gold will be your reward."

प्रतिपन्नम् अभिसत्कृत्य आगतम् अवस्कन्देन प्रकाशयुद्धेन वा शत्रुणा घातयेत् ॥
[ The king] may kill [the enemy] who, having agreed and been honor ably received, arrives, through a sudden attack or in an open battle, in concert with [another] enemy.

अभिविश्वासन अर्थं भूमि दान पुत्र अभिषेक रक्षा अपदेशेन वा ग्राहयेत् ॥
He should be made to accept it under the pretext of an oath of allegiance, a grant of land, a son's anointing, or protection.

अविषह्यम् उपांशु दण्डेन वा घातयेत् ॥
Or he may destroy an irresistible [enemy] by means of secret punishment.
