जटिल व्यञ्जनम् अन्तर् उदक वासिनं वा सर्व श्वेतं तट सुरुङ्गा भूमि गृह अपसरणं वरुणं नाग राजं वा सत्त्रिणः क्रम अभिनीतं राज्ञः कथयेयुः ॥

Any person, disguised as an ascetic and living under water or in the interior of an idol entered into through a tunnel or an underground chamber, may be said by his disciples to be Varuna, the god of water, or the king of snakes, and shown to the king.

english translation

jaTila vyaJjanam antar udaka vAsinaM vA sarva zvetaM taTa suruGgA bhUmi gRha apasaraNaM varuNaM nAga rAjaM vA sattriNaH krama abhinItaM rAjJaH kathayeyuH ॥

तं राजा इति समानम् ॥

While going to accomplish whatever the king may desire, the latter may be requested to come and remain . . . (as before).

जन पद अन्ते वासी सिद्ध व्यञ्जनो वा राजानं शत्रु दर्शनाय योजयेत् ॥

An accomplished ascetic, halting in the vicinity of the capital city, may invite the king to witness the person (of his enemy) .

jana pada ante vAsI siddha vyaJjano vA rAjAnaM zatru darzanAya yojayet ॥

प्रतिपन्नं बिम्बं कृत्वा शत्रुम् आवाहयित्वा निरुद्धे देशे घातयेत् ॥

when he comes to witness the invocation of his enemy's life in the image to be destroyed, he may be murdered in an unguarded place.

pratipannaM bimbaM kRtvA zatrum AvAhayitvA niruddhe deze ghAtayet ॥

अश्व पण्य उपयाता वैदेहक व्यञ्जनाः पण्य उपायन निमित्तम् आहूय राजानं पण्य परीक्षायाम् आसक्तम् अश्व व्यतिकीर्णं वा हन्युः, अश्वैश् च प्रहरेयुः ॥

Spies, under the, guise of merchants come to sell horses, may invite the king to examine and purchase any of the animals. While attentively examining the horses, he may be murdered in the tumult or trampled down by horses.

english translation

azva paNya upayAtA vaidehaka vyaJjanAH paNya upAyana nimittam AhUya rAjAnaM paNya parIkSAyAm Asaktam azva vyatikIrNaM vA hanyuH, azvaiz ca prahareyuH ॥
